Niagara Gear Corporation is an established, world class manufacturer of precision ground spur, helical and pump gears, utilizing the latest in gear grinding technology at its headquarters in Buffalo, NY. For more than 30 years, Niagara Gear has offered complete capabilities to meet the most demanding, close tolerance requirements, with the fast turnaround typically associated with conventional gear manufacturing.
As a part of the company's continued growth, Niagara Gear has established and maintained a large and diverse global customer base. The company offers the flexibility to manufacture gears complete to print, perform finishing operations on customer blanks, or to grind teeth only. All ground gears are manufactured to meet MIL-I-45208, with full inspection and gage calibration based on MIL-STD-45662A.
Comprehensive capabilities
Niagara Gear offers the ultimate in quality and performance on gears ranging from 4 DP through 38 DP. The company's capabilities include precision gear grinding to AGMA Class 15 with crowning; gear hobbing and shaping to 12" diameter; gear honing to 12" capacity with crowning; deburring/finishing; cylindrical/finish grinding; machining and broaching.
Niagara Gear recently added the new Gleason® 245TWG High Speed Threaded Wheel Grinder, the very latest technology in precision, high production gear grinding. This first-of-its-kind machine enables Niagara Gear to deliver ground gear quality at shaved gear prices. In addition, Niagara Gear utilizes the Reishauer® RZ300E, high precision gear grinder. A state-of-the-art machine known for its accuracy and short set-up times, the Reishauer RZ300E is also capable of grinding gear segments, gears with intermittent teeth, pump gears having low numbers of teeth, and is especially desirable for salvage grinding.
Niagara Gear also offers innovative stocking programs designed to meet Just-In-Time requirements at no added cost.
